Information for publishers about the reprographic reproduction fee

Which publishers are entitled to reprographic reproduction fee?

Stichting PRO distributes reprographic reproduction fee in the following categories of work:

Scientific books, professional books, textbooks

  • Scientific books: Books at an academic level about scientific research, primarily intended for scholarly work (study and research).

  • Professional books: Management books and books primarily intended for specific professional groups.

  • Textbooks: Books primarily intended for higher professional education (HBO).

    Note: Excluded from participation are all books that are not primarily intended (or mainly used) for science, profession, or education, including popular and semi-scientific publications, philosophical and self-help books.

Scientific journals, professional journals

  • Scientific journals: Periodicals at an academic level containing publications of scientific research, primarily intended for scholarly work (study and research).

  • Professional journals: Journals primarily intended for specific industries or professional groups.

     

    Note: Excluded from participation are all journals and other periodicals that are not primarily intended (or mainly used) for science, profession, or education, including popular and semi-scientific publications, philosophical and self-help books.

School books

  • School books: Books and methods primarily intended for secondary vocational education (MBO) and primary and secondary education (PO and VO): textbooks, workbooks, answer books, and exam papers.

    Note: Excluded from participation are all books that are not primarily intended (or mainly used) for education, including popular and semi-scientific publications, philosophical and self-help books.

Papers

  • Newspapers: National daily newspapers, regional newspapers, and free local newspapers.

    Note: You can only report (news) websites that have a corresponding print edition. Currently, only the digital versions of books, magazines, and newspapers are included in the license.
